Woodwind Tuition

I have over 30 years teaching experience in Private and LEA education. I teach woodwind from beginner to advanced Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute and Grade 5 Music Theory.

I have a BA(hons) in Music, the CT ABRSM (Certificate of Teaching – Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and was a highly regarded member of the  peripatetic staff at Stafford Grammar School for over 15 years.

Every pupil is an individual with their own learning styles and it's important to understand what motivates and inspires them. I work with students to ensure they achieve their full potential.

Learning a musical instrument strengthens the band of nerve fibres that connect the left and right brain hemispheres called the Corpus Callosum. This helps us to think quicker and more creatively. It increases problem solving skills, allows you to express emotions and is a key factor in improving mental health.

Tuition Fees are currently £40 ph. Lessons are booked in blocks of 6 either weekly or fortnightly, and paid for in advance. 

I teach from my home in Shropshire so please ensure you are able to travel before booking a trial lesson.

I always do my best to reschedule a lesson if necessary, however please note lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are still charged for due to insufficient rescheduling time. This is normal practice for instrumental tuition.
