It’s Almost Magical

This week in the MasterKey proceedings we were asked to revise any previous weeks chapters that we wanted. I found myself drawn to Chapters 5 and 6 as even more insight jumped out of the pages. We have been learning over the last 3 months how thought is mind in action and the Law of Attraction brings to us things that are in like vibration. As our life begins to change it can feel almost magical, yet Haanel is clear that it is not magic. In 21st Century terminology we might say it is not woo woo stuff.

‘Therefore, this is a creative age, and the world is awarding its richest prizes to the thinkers. Matter is powerless, passive, inert. Mind is force, energy, power. Mind shapes and controls matter. Every form which mater takes is but the expression of some pre-existing thought.

But thought works no magic transformation; it obeys natural laws; it sets in motion natural forces; it releases natural energies; it manifests in your my conduct and actions, and these in turn react upon your my friends and acquaintances, and eventually upon the whole of your my environment. You I can originate thought, and since thoughts are creative, you I can create for yourself myself the things you I desire.’ (Haanel 5:Intro)

As I began to Recognise, Relate, Assimilate and Apply (R2A2) the things I have been learning these last 3 years, it has created a new world around me. Some people have moved out of my life and others have come into my life. I was fascinated this week by just how many people have lived to create me, and how many more will live because I was born. We talk about our parents, grandparents and even great grandparents. But most of us have no recollection of our ancestors beyond this third generation. I tried to calculate how many ‘great’ grandparents I would have if I went back 25 generations!  🙂  (Ok, I know what you’re thinking!!!! lol)

I have 2 parents, who in turn both had 2 parents, meaning I have 4 grandparents. They all had 2 parents, meaning I had 8 great grandparents. If you continue this line of thought for 25 generations it means I have 67,108,864 great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandparents!!!!!!!! Holy Moly, it would take me 10 years just to write my Christmas card list!!! lol 🙂  Now focusing forward, if each of my children went on to have an average of 2 children, and each of them went on to have 2 children, in approximately 25 generations I would have 50,331,648 great (to the power of 25) grandchildren!!!

As we begin to change our perception of who we are and exercise our creative imagination properly, we are setting in motion a progressive chain which is supported and sustained by the Law of Attraction also called the Law of Growth or Law of Love. When our thoughts are centred in love we create the results we desire.

Many of us were brought up on the Disney idea of fairies and magic. Whilst these are lovely stories, they can lead us down the wrong thinking path. You and you alone have the power to control your life. No Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo is required, although when you understand how natural laws work and use them it can certainly feel magical as dreams start to come true. 🙂
