MK Week 12 – Fertilize your Desire
With Love x
Blaming others is easier, it can make us feel better, at least temporarily, and it absolves us of any responsibility. The idea that our thoughts are attracting to us things of similar vibration and that we are totally and completely responsible is hard to accept if your life has not been what you would like it to be. It takes courage to face yourself in the mirror. We see our reflection everyday, but how often do you really look yourself directly in the eyes and ask yourself deep and meaningful questions, really search your heart for answers, and encourage yourself? Maybe even say ‘I love you’ to yourself? I have read these following two verses numerous times but this year I feel totally engaged with their meaning.
‘We I know that thought is building for us me the thing we I think of and actually bringing it nearer, yet we I find it difficult to banish fear, anxiety or discouragement, all of which are powerful thought forces, and which continually send the things we I desire further away, so that it is often one step forward and two steps backward.’ (Haanel 12:3)
‘The principle which gives the thought the dynamic power to correlate with its object, and therefore to master every adverse human experience, is the law of attraction, which is another name for love. This is an eternal and fundamental principle, inherent in all things, in every system of Philosophy, in every Religion, and in every Science. There is no getting away from the law of love. It is feeling that imparts vitality to thought. Feeling is desire, and desire is love. Thought impregnated with love becomes invincible.’ (Haanel 12:18)
How often do you say ‘I love …….’? You can add anything after these two little words…… ‘I love chocolate’, ‘I love roses’, ‘I love the rain’, ‘I love you’. Each thing added after the words ‘I love’ are connected with things that you enjoy, that you feel passionate about, that make you feel good. We can’t touch ‘love’, see ‘love’, smell ‘love’, taste ‘love’. It is a feeling, an intense feeling towards something or someone that we experience within ourselves. We can empathise with others but we can not know exactly how someone else feels, even if we have experienced similar situations or circumstances.
It is clear that our thoughts create feelings within us. When you focus on someone or something that you love you get a feeling in your heart or solar plexus of happiness and joy. It is a positive feeling. This feeling vibrates around you creating a magnetic force that attracts back things of a similar vibration. Our ability to think and create ideals in our mind comes through imagination. Thoughts pop into our head all the time, but you have the choice to focus on them or not. This makes us response-able, which in turn makes us responsible. I can create images in my minds eye and these in turn cause me to feel something. Regardless of whether the feeling is positive or negative I have the choice to focus and expand the thought and mental images in my mind, or change my thoughts. It is my choice. BAM! I am 100% responsible.
‘It is the combination of Thought and Love which forms the irresistible force, called the law of attraction. All natural laws are irresistible, the law of Gravitation, or Electricity, or any other law operates with mathematical exactitude. There is no variation; it is only the channel of distribution which may be imperfect. If a bridge falls, we do attribute the collapse to any variation of the law of gravitation. If a light fails us, we do not conclude that the laws governing electricity cannot be depended upon, and if the law of attraction seems to be imperfectly demonstrated by an inexperienced or uninformed person, we are not to conclude that the greatest most infallible law upon which the entire system of creation depends has been suspended. We should rather conclude that a little more understanding of the law is required, for the same reason that a correct solution of a difficult problem in Mathematics is not always readily and easily obtained.’ (Haanel; 12:21)
