Week C6 Persistence
Life is a series of choices
Last week I mentioned my challenges with vocal recording and I am happy to say that persistence eventually paid off. After what felt like hours and hours of battling and a few emotional expletives (thanks Carolynn LOL), I suddenly discovered something in the software programme that I had not known that allowed me to do what I was doing much more efficiently, and I am now well underway with my task. 🙂
“Emotions may be expressed through mental, verbal, or physical action and they usually find expression in one of these three ways and are therefore released and this energy is dissipated in a few hours. But, when by reason of honor, pride, anger, hatred or bitterness these emotions are buried from consciousness, they become mental abscesses in the subconscious realm and cause bitter suffering.” (Haanel 27:10)
“Such a suppressed emotion becomes a complex. Such a complex is a living thing; it has vital power and force and the vital force retains its intensity undiminished throughout the entire lifetime unless it is released.” (Haanel 27:7)
I have been working with a friend on a joint business launch event we are hosting together at the beginning of June to inform people in our community of the help and support we can offer through our respective businesses, and the importance of dealing with emotional change. Sometimes we make deliberate choices that create changes in our lives, and sometimes we feel change is forced upon us and out of our control. The MasterKey Experience and my own subsequent research has helped me to understand the significance of our emotions and how they are indicators of the vibrations we are transmitting. A negative emotion is not always a bad thing. It is just an indicator that we are not currently on the right path and need to rethink.
Sometimes negative emotions can get trapped and we may need expert advice and guidance to help us understand and move on. But at other times we just need to get our mind off the problem and immerse it in something completely different, fun and engaging, which allows us to relax, reflect and listen to our inner voice.
“We have found that everything we get comes to us by the Law of Attraction. A happy thought cannot exist in an unhappy consciousness; therefore the consciousness must change, and, as the consciousness changes, all conditions necessary to meet the changed consciousness must gradually change, in order to meet the requirements of the new situation.” (Haanel 13:24)
It is tough to accept that we attract to us everything in our life when things happen that we do not want. ‘How did I attract that?‘ is a question I have asked myself many times over the last couple of years as I have been learning about how our mind works. Gradually as my understanding and knowledge has increased I have understood how the events and people who have come and gone from my life have manifested in my experience. Being aware of my emotions is now a tool rather than just a blessing or a burden depending on the level of positive or negative intensity. Being a stubborn little so and so too has both its pitfalls and rewards. 🙂 LOL A dog with a bone has nothing on me when I really want to achieve something!
