Week 10 How does ur garden grow?
What are you growing in the garden ‘of your mind’?
‘Abundance is a natural law of the Universe. The evidence of this law is conclusive; we see it on every hand. Everywhere Nature is lavish, wasteful, extravagant. Nowhere is economy observed in any created thing. Profusion is manifested in everything. The millions and millions of trees and flowers and plants and animals and the vast scheme of reproduction where the process of creating and recreating is forever going on, all indicates the lavishness with which Nature has made provision for man. That there is an abundance for everyone is evident, but that many fail to participate in this abundance is also evident; they have not yet come into a realisation of the Universality of all substance, and that mind is the active principle whereby we are related to the things we desire.’ (Haanel 10:1)
Have you ever stopped and considered the lavishness of nature? Maybe on a walk in the countryside makes you more aware of the beauty and abundance of plant life around you. 
Or when you it’s time to do the gardening and you discover everything has grown so profusely that instead of the intended half hour gardening it actually takes about 4 hours to do! Let’s take a common, everyday plant like Ivy. You start with a cutting. A few weeks later a trial of leaves begins to grow. 
Ivy grows fast and rapidly reaching out in search of what it needs to sustain itself and grow. Left to it’s own devices it will eventually cover the wall, your home and anything else in its path. ‘nature is lavish, wasteful, extravagant.’
Now imagine if that first Ivy leaf were a thought in your mind!!! And thoughts grow and multiply a lot faster than Ivy. Why? Because thought is spiritual, and ‘Spiritual power is superior because it exists on a higher plane. It has enabled man to discover the law by which these wonderful forces of Nature could be harnessed and made to do the work of hundreds and thousands of men. It has enabled man to discover laws whereby time and space have been annihilated and the law of gravitation to be overcome. the operation of this law id dependent upon spiritual contact.’ (Haanel 10:4)
Yikes! So, given the natural laws that govern our world which we can not change, but we can work with and use to our advantage, would it not seem logical to focus our thoughts on positive things that best serve us rather than negative?
When I began my Masterkey journey in September of 2013, I was unclear about what I wanted and so my thoughts were random, sporadic and confused. The result……… I felt adrift, without focus….. and although I was ok in myself, and life was ticking along much like a lot other peoples, I felt something deeper in my heart was missing. Through my attention to what makes my heart really sing, who I am and what my strengths ‘and weaknesses’ are, I began to focus on the idea of running my own courses that enabled me to both teach as I choose while doing the things that I love, and help others reconnect with something inside themselves that may have been buried for a longtime. The answers are always within, and I wanted to offer people another means of discovering their passions.
My heart always feels free when I am either making things from rubbish, or playing my musical instruments. Just over 12 months later these thoughts have grown and multiplied, just like the Ivy. My course is now tangible and others are responding with enthusiasm and joy at having somewhere they can be still, be creative and be themselves. Transporting people back in time to a place in their heart and mind when they were free to play, have fun and use their creative imagination is so fulfilling for me personally too. Win/Win 🙂 As I am reaching out to others I am finding the things that I need to sustain myself, and as I become fully the person I was born to be I am able to help more. Release the beauty within and be your SELF. Flowers have no need to compete, each and every one is stunning, precious, beautiful and so are YOU.
